Full Biography
Ty is an associate in the firm’s Oil & Gas/Energy Law section. His practice focuses on oil and gas title examination and transactional matters related to fee, state and federal lands in both Texas and New Mexico. He represents a variety of types of energy clients, from privately held local operators to publicly traded multinational corporations. His experience includes counseling and assisting his clients with their document preparation, title examination, curative, negotiations, acquisitions, divestitures and other day-to-day legal needs related to the energy industry, in the context of city drilling blocks encompassing hundreds of individual tracts, complex allocation-based drilling blocks, large scale unitized acreage, traditional pooled units and combinations of the same. Additionally, he occasionally represents and assists individuals in leasing, transferring and establishing title to their mineral and surface interests.
Ty grew up in Abilene, Texas, and moved to Midland following law school in 2020. Outside of work, his time is dedicated to his wife, Morgan, and their three children.
