Ryan B. Dickerson practices trial and appellate law. Prior to joining the firm, he was in private practice in Fort Worth, Texas, representing clients that included one of the largest health care delivery systems in the United States, a Fortune 500 corporation, national insurance companies, and trucking firms.

Ryan has experience in both state and federal courts in Texas. He has played important roles representing clients, as both the plaintiff and defendant, in a variety of complex commercial litigation disputes, including lawsuits relating to contracts, lending relationships, real property, construction, products liability, and intellectual property, as well as serious injury and death cases. Ryan has experience with all aspects of the litigation process, from the initial pleadings through trial, including disputes over discovery, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, defending and deposing key witnesses, and drafting appellate briefs. He also has tried multiple cases, and handled the voir dire, opening, direct examination, cross-examination, and closing at trial. In the past, Ryan also represented companies and real estate developers in various transactional matters.

During law school at the Georgetown University Law Center, Ryan served as a reader for the Honorable David Tatel of the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. During his third year of law school, Ryan participated in the Domestic Violence Clinic, where he represented indigent victims of domestic abuse in DC Superior Court to help obtain civil protection orders, alternative housing, and child custody on behalf of his clients. In 2007, he spent a semester abroad at the University College London, in London, United Kingdom.

In addition to his J.D. degree, Ryan holds a Master of Philosophy in Criminology from the University of Cambridge, in Cambridge, United Kingdom, and was an Oxbridge Tsuzuki Fellow at Daiichi University of Economics in Fukuoka, Japan. He is also a graduate of Harvard College, where he played varsity football on an Ivy League Championship team and served Governor Mitt Romney of Massachusetts concerning the Pardons, Parole and Judicial Appointment Committee.
